Nice piece on a high school English class in Compton, Ca who put on a production of the Wilder play. These were all black and hispanic kids and at first the connection between them and the doings of Grovers Corners, NH seemed extremely remote...to us and to them.
But the play deals with universal truths and they gradually come to realize that. A heartwarming story which broke through the easy cynicism of the naysayers.
