A returning Czech soldier inherits a mansion and finds the previous owner's daughter working there as a servant. Of course they get involved...in a complex problematic relationship.
Very slow and uninteresting. This film showed a little of his cine brilliance but not nearly enough to hold me. I didn't care about the fate of these characters.
