Really odd film...in two acts. For the first 45 minutes we're in a clinic where a mute man is being examined and treated for a skin disease. His companions also try to get him work papers...illegally.
Then credits run. Then we follow these same people on a picnic beside a stream where they eat and have explicit sex. Turns out the guy was an illegal refugee from Burma.
If there was a thought or point to all this I missed it. The tone was quiet and flowing...the sound of the stream was pleasant...but I wouldn't want to watch another movie by this filmmaker.
