Ten yo girl leaves her abusive uncle's factory, heads to Saigon where she tries to make it on the mean streets on her own. This film rises or falls with the lead actor...here it worked beautifully. How do they find/direct these remarkable children?
She acts as a go-between for an animal keeper and flight attendant...all three, in the course of a busy week, come together to find love, togetherness and security. Fairy tale-ish but so what? I was thoroughly charmed.
