Bleakness, despair, gloom, violence, drunkenness. I think that about covers it. Some of the scenes may have faintly suggested humor...in that inimitable Baltic way...but I couldn't be sure.
Episodic, depressing...about as negative a view of contemporary life as you'll find.
What were they trying to do here?
